From here you can stroll the length of the Esplanade, an area which has recently undergone a major re-development to include al fresco dining, parklands, BBQ areas and the Cairns Lagoon, a massive patrolled water-park that attracts both tourists and locals.
The Pier and Marina, Reef Casino, Night Markets and Cairns Central shopping mall are all within walking distance as are numerous restaurants, cafes, bars and classic north Queensland pubs.
Spend a lazy afternoon on the pool deck overlooking the ocean, cook up a BBQ on the resort lawns or have an invigorating workout in the gymnasium.
At dusk, kick back on your balcony with a cool drink and watch the yachts and vessels returning passengers from their day on the Reef.
